Adoption locking process

The locking process has started …

To define the alpha colony number of hives, we’ve started the APIS Token locking process for the APIS Adopters community.

Because the adoption process is an annual contract, also first phase of alpha colony development architecture is a 3 years projection, we defined a locking system that is in direct relation with the hives adopted and multiplied according with the development architecture.

Thereby, to know the adopted hives numbers, to link the adopters with their hives and ensure the raw materials shares (or APIS Token revenue), we will use APIS Mellifera Token

(Token ID: 2qQG5SV3F25oMynbyctS8PzBtpVUSqtvxPYLeHbVkxKA )

in relation 1:1 with the hives adopted.

Each APIS Mellifera token will keep the value of a hive and all APIS Mellifera tokens in circulation will provide the exact number of hives adopted.

For Alpha Adopters, in the first APIS Token year, each hive worth 30k APIS Token locked – adopters will receive 1 APIS Mellifera Token for each of their adopted hives (physical or virtual ones). Counting the multiplying strategy, in the second APIS Token year, each Alpha adopters will receive one hive, also will receive 1 APIS Mellifera Token (also available for future multiplying strategies).

The Official Wallet for the locking process is : 3PJmtyz5zB1rzbFvKpjY7ssvDqqcjd15UYx. For each 30k APIS Token received, we will send back 1 APIS Mellifera Token (which includes the rights for one hive). In the second year, each adopter that sent 30k , will receive back 10k APIS Token and 1 APIS Mellifera Token (this will be applied for year 3 in the same manner).

Each initial Apis Mellifera Token (from first APIS year) will be linked with future APIS Mellifera Tokens that will come from the multiplying strategy (in year 3, each adopter will have, for one hive, one initial APIS Mellifera Token and another 2 APIS Mellifera tokens that are linked with the first one – this 3 APIS Mellifera Tokens will define an Alpha Colony place that can be traded using Adopter Rights Auction (will be open on DEX).

Each APIS Mellifera Token is related directly with the adopter wallet and also with one physical hive (that is registered physically at the local authorities, with serial number).  In a future article will be defined the Terms and the Conditions of Adopter Rights Auction.

Your place in Alpha Colony brings you the benefit of honey for life, growing in number and in quantity year by year.

What will be your price to sell this? Considering that APIS Mellifera Tokens include the rights for a specific hive in a specific colony (Alpha, Beta or Gamma), adopters will have the option to sell their hives rights on the Auction, passing their Alpha (Beta or Gamma) Colony rights to others.

Process of locking, for Alpha Colony Adopters, will be open till 25 December 2018, each 30k APIS received will generate one hive (physical or virtual) into your platform account.

To join our adopters team,

we are waiting you on Waves Dex

and, from 16 November, on Folex.

APIS Token – bring your honey on your table

The time for liquid gold has come. We are delighted to announce first deliveries, sending to the earliest 200 adopters their honey shares (https://apismellifera.io/first-200-physical-hives/). The honey types that were sent, are : linden, colza and Polyfloral : https://apismellifera.io/benefits-of-lind…polyfloral-honey/

In this way, we want to announce an a contest: all adopters that will receive APIS Honey, are invited to post some pictures with APIS honey jar (1 kg ). More info: https://apismellifera.io/apis-token-jar-photo-contest/

As main goal of our project, bringing honey in different parts of the world, on your table, was not an easy task, but we’ve succeeded to make it possible this year, with all adopters support, and, we want to show our appreciation again, for their trust and their constant help. Project history in images can be found here: https://apismellifera.io/gallery/

With the support of our community, we’ve succeed to implement this year our first 200 “living miners”, that are generating honey shares. We’ve also implemented the risk management cluster (20% extra hives) with the intention to cover any existent or future risks.

With a total of 710 hives adopted in Pre-Sale/Sale, our Alpha Colony hives are divided in physical ones (that are generating honey shares) and virtual ones (that are generating APIS Token shares).

To understand the frame of actual physical/virtual situation and also the future physical implementation, we will define APIS Token year, considering October 2018 as first month, and September 2019 as last month of first year.

The implementation process for the rest of Alpha colony hives will start, again, in spring of 2019, on the first harvesting season (rape season) and will take several weeks (time preconized to finalize the Alpha colony implementation in June/July), offering the possibility for all adopters to taste their fresh honey.

For the adopters that have chosen to have already implemented hives, we will deliver the honey shares 2 times / year, after the harvesting seasons (after April and August) and will be per types of adopter account (Basic, Premium or Business Adopters).

“How much honey can I expect then in April?”. First 3 months were covered in honey with the actual delivery and, from January, we will update the status during harvesting seasons. In April we will have first harvesting, colza (rapeseed), and will be at least 1 kg/month (if you have premium or business adopter account, we will deliver the half quantity that was harvested, and, also, for business adopters another raw materials as pollen, wax, honey combs or others).

For the virtual hives adopters, the payment of the shares (in APIS Token) will be made quarterly, and the token amount will be calculated taking in consideration the average of APIS Token price for that quarter (in USD) and the average price of honey on the food market (in USD).

Starting from March/April, as soon as new hives/new apiaries will be implemented, we will allocate physical hives for all alpha adopters with virtual hives, allowing to all adopters the possibility to have his honey, and also his physical hives adopted.

From October 2019 (start of second APIS Token year of development) , we will start allocate the second hive for each alpha adopters, also, we will start Beta colony, for the ones that will support our project and will want to adopt hives in the second colony.

Our work at the platform is almost done, and soon our adopters will have access to hives management/warehouse features. To explain some of our ideas, please check : https://apismellifera.io/platform-functionalities/ ‎

We invite you to taste APIS Token honey products at our online shop: https://apismellifera.io/apis-shop/ . Each sell will be allocated for our bee families development, to cover them any needs.

First 200 physical hives

To allocate first 200 implanted hives, we was taking in consideration the moment when each adopter choose to adopt bee families. Counting this, below are the first 200 physical hives that were allocated to their early adopters:

Platform functionalities

To connect the adopters from all over the world, with the local physical hives, we defined a platform application, as an interface, to facilitate the connectivity between all involved parts in the adoption process.

Application concept will be a friendly-user interface, that will connect the physical implanted hives with the ones from the platform, offering a unique experience in the path to become a beekeeper.

The platform offers an overview about honey quantities and available tokens, facilitating direct link between Bee Families, Hives Adopters and APIS Team.

Through multi-devices compatibility, the platform can be accessed from any type of device, offering an administrative panel for your hives. This will provide different statistics about your adopted hives and will give you rights to take decisions about your hives, like: your honey quantity, choosing what to harvest (different other types of raw materials as wax, pollen etc), when to withdraw your honey and other features that will be developed for a better way to care the bees.

Stay tuned for the platform functionalities release.

Benefits of Linden, Rapeseed and Polyfloral honey

We are glad to announce the first delivery to our adopters. Linden, rapeseed and polyfloral (from which sunflower is predominant) are the types of honey that we start deliver for our first 200 adopters. Some benefits of these types of honey are described bellow:

Linden honey

Linden, the mystical tree of life, tree of health, justice tree, tree of victory, a symbol of fertility and an object of worship, is known as basswood in America, lime in UK (with no relation to “lime” fruit) and linden in Europe and Asia, all belong to the same genus, tilia.

There are over 350 species of the Tiliaceae family that can be found, especially in the tropical and subtropical regions. In Romania, lime trees are represented by a single genus (Tilia) with three species:

– T. cordata Mill. (the most common),

– T. tomentosa Moench. (the most drought resistant; predominant in Romania), and

– T. platyphyllos Scop. (the most water demanding).

The linden tree contributes to the amelioration of the soil and its shade maintains a wet microclimate which is favorable to natural regenaration.

A perfumed fresh woody honey is obtained from the pollen and the nectar of the linden tree, with some healthy benefits, and is used for:

– common colds, flue, cough, fever, other disorders of the respiratory tract,

– infections,

– high blood pressure,

– headache (particularly migraine),

– diuretic (increases urine production),

– antispasmodic (reduces smooth muscle spasm along the digestive tract).

Linden honey has about 400 substances and compounds and most distinctive are:

– maltose (gives it a beneficial effect on our digestive system),

– vitamin B,

– macro-nutrients,

– minerals (are at exactly the same concentration as in the human blood, which makes them quickly absorbed by the body),

– organic and inorganic acids.

The regular use of linden honey helps to maintain adequate osmotic pressure at the cellular level, normalizes metabolism, has beneficial effects on digestion and hormonal activity.

Rapeseed honey

Rapeseed, rape or even canola (but most of the time this refers to canola oil) is derived from the Latin for turnip (rapa or rapum). There are two species of rape, Brassica napus and B. rapa but the varieties grown here are mainly B. rapa.

The white creamy honey with a smooth texture produced by bees that feed on oilseed rape flowers, has some therapeutic applications like:

– sedative, for relaxing,

– positive effect of honey on hepatitis A patients,

– ulcer healing,

– great for colon and intestinal health,

– kidney diseases and against colesterol,

– eye-related diseases,

– bone development (contains Q3),

– regeneration and improvement of the elasticity of blood vessel walls,

– improving metabolism.

Contains all the necessary microelements and vitamins for a healthy diet like:

Vitamin E: the abundance of it, is most important when it comes to slowing down skin aging, as a result of rapeseed honey consumption which has a major impact,

Vitamin A is also present in it, a powerful immunostimulant that’s beneficial for vision, skin and bones.

Rapeseed honey is rich in simple sugars that are necessary for a daily energy input.

Polyfloral honey (sunflower is predominant)

This type of honey is made from the nectar of various types of flowers. The color and flavor vary according to the main nectar source.

Some beneficial effects:

– stimulates appetite,

– facilitates digestion,

– improves the heart and liver functioning,

– increases the hemoglobin percentage in the blood,

– remedy for physical and intellectual fatigue.

Has a complex composition:

– B and C vitamins,

– enzymes (invertase, catalase and amylase),

– organic acids (lactic acid, gluconic acid) and

– various minerals (iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus)

Ѕunflоwеr (the predominant nectar source) hоnеу hаѕ а hеаlіng еffесt wіth rеѕресt tо gаѕtrоіntеѕtіnаl dіѕеаѕеѕ, thе rеѕріrаtоrу ѕуѕtеm, thе kіdnеуѕ, ѕkіn рrоblеmѕ, but іt іѕ uѕеful еѕресіаllу fоr thе hеаrt аnd thе сіrсulаtоrу ѕуѕtеm, аnd іѕ а vаluаblе tооl іn thе рrеvеntіоn аnd fіght аgаіnѕt саrdіоvаѕсulаr dіѕеаѕеѕ.

It’s useful for the rapid healing of wounds, burns, and for the treatment of dermatitis, rhinitis and sinusitis.

Every kind of honey has it’s uniqueness, with their own range of qualities.

It is a perfect substitute for sugar, has no additives, it’s easy on the stomach, and if stored correctly will have an almost indefinite shelf life and easily adapted to cooking processes.
